Welcome to the Valley HS Library
The Valley High School library is a place for more than books. It is a place to find a niche. Whether it is carving out a quiet space to read a good book or write, or finding a place to fit in with others (check out our Manga club), our library is always full of students enjoying their experience.
The library is a place where you can come to use a computer, find all kinds of books (what, comics!?!?) or just have a quiet lunch with your friends.
Stop by today to check out what the library has to offer you (see what we did there??)

Lies We Tell: Applied Knowledge to Deception Detection is a published non-fiction book that I had written during my sophomore year at Valley High School. Lies We Tell* combines the research and studies of prominent deception detectives (lie spotters), such as Dr. Paul Ekman, Pamela Meyer, Janine Driver, ex-FBI agent Joe Navarro, and many more. Published by Blurb Inc. in San Francisco, with copies sold worldwide, Lies We Tell* made its first notable appearance at the Valley High School's IB Class of 2016 Personal Project night.
The book is centralized over becoming aware of how lying affects us, how we can catch them, and what we can do with understanding that we've been lied to. In addition, the book highlights various key concepts, such as the science of facial expressions, the psychology of lying, correlations with our current teenage generation, and so much more.

The New Vegas Odyssey is a tale of desperation, isolation, abandonment, and a sliver of hope. When lonesome drifter Nathan Montag brings plucky scavenger Veronica along in his travels through the expanses of a post-nuclear Mojave Desert, his stoic and barren life suddenly becomes reinvigorated by a quest for justice, revenge, and independence.
This take on the Western genre is a monomyth for the modern age. This Odysseus is a gunslinging desperado. Instead of Shakespeare and Homer, it alludes to the works of Sergio Leone and George Lucas. It’s the journey of hero in a time when there are few.
Deriving it from the Obsidian production, Fallout: New Vegas, I wrote The New Vegas Odyssey to put my creative skills to the test, but it eventually formed into an expression of my thoughts and sentiments. It made me a better writer, and a better person.
